Concern about phishing mail from Hong Kong using email verification and tracking service like bounceless.io ,ipqualityscore.com, datavalidation.com
Lately, I have been receiving spam/phishing email, which are using the familiar tricks of having a delivery for me with a email need to be corrected and asking me to click a link.
I have been receiving such email from time to time, some are filtered by spam filter and some not. But there are some observation, they are repeatedly from some services provider, bounceless.io and ipqualityscore.com .
What are these services
After some dig up, these providers are providing services with good intend. like ipqualityscore claim is “fraud prevention”, and bounceless.io claim is “Because a message only matters if it’s delivered”.
With abuse of usage, these technology of good intends do more harm than good.
I am always a believer that it’s not the technology got to be blamed, but the abusing users.
On the other hand, us as users being impacted should report the issue to the service provider and wishing them take action avoiding such kind of abuse.
